Easter Island, or Rapa Nui as it was anciently known, is one of the most isolated places on earth. Geographically, we know that the island appeared about 3 million years ago out of three volcanic eruptions. But its population, natural and wildlife are still an enigma to archeologists and natural scientists today. Furthermore, how can such gigantic stones be placed in such positions and for what purpose? Regardless of your reason for visiting, this destination will captivate your imagination.

Touring along the Moai route, visiting: Vaihu, a place which is surrounded by enormous statues which have fallen face down; the ruins of Akahanga, which are in their natural condition and where the first king of the island was buried. Further along, we will see the Rano Raraku volcano, situated close to the southern shore of the island, and at the Basis of Poike, which is the most spectacular crater in the zone and where the former island-people carved the giant statues from the volcano's quarry. Here we can see the different stages in the construction of the Moais, the biggest of which still remains at the Basis of the quarry and which is more than 20 meters long and weighs just under 200 tons. We will visit the Anakena where is the restored Ahu Tongariki, the biggest on the Island with fifteen Moais (Statues), which had been destroyed by a tidal wave in 1960. Free time to enjoy the warm sea waters which surround the island. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.Accommodation on Easter Island (B, L)Day 3: Half Day Tour

We can see more than 100 petroglyphs which represent the Make-Make God and the Manutara seabird amongst others. Next, we will proceed to Ana Kai Tangata.
